Just a good man. I remember getting to school early and spending the mornings with Angelo and Dan McCrum on the side of the school. Shared PE with him too. Such a good young man. I know he´s at peace

I was honored to receive Angelo's name at a ribbon ceremony this Memorial Day. I am touched by his courage and determination, and I am sorry that he was taken from his family, friends, and fellow soldiers so heartbreakingly early. He and our other fallen heroes are remembered and appreciated always. Thank you all for your sacrifice for our country.

Still remembering Angelo! My son Joe Q used to have lunch with him everyday at Terra Nova. Got to meet Angelo's mom and give him a plant from my son who was in Iraq when he heard about Angelo. Hope his mom is doing ok. Wish I could call her to talk to her again. Debbie Smyser, Sgt. Joe Quirarte's mom. Cell: 650-438-9278 Hope she sees this and can touch base again.

To the family of PFC. Angelo A. Zawaydeh:
Please know that just as your loved one remains in your hearts and minds; his sacrifice, and that of your family, remains with the people he died defending. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for his bravery and selflessness, or the heartache we feel for your loss. God bless and keep you always.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

I don't know what to say. You told my brother (Kevin) that you were glad someone else loved him. And I know my brother loved him more than words can say. My entire family loved him. He had a second family with us. For days now we recall every precious moment we had with Angelo. And you know, there is NOTHING but Good memories. I don't think there is another person in this world I could say that about, honestly. I believe tomorrow (or I guess later today, now) I will meet you for the first time. And I know there is nothing I can say...But I want you to know that I'm sorry. For what it's worth...and I know thats nothing...I'm so sorry.
I know Angelo as a hero, a man who died fighting for what he truly believed in.
But I remember him as a good boy, a positive influence on everyone he touched, someone who actually cared for other people, in that it bothered him if someone was upset and in that he is the least selfish person I've ever met. I remember him as a someone who was a good friend to anyone who was lucky enough to call him a friend and someone who wanted so little.
And of course, I remember him as one of the only people who wasn't too scared to hold my pet snake.
My family and I will ALWAYS love him and miss him. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say we send you our deepest condolences.

Dear Francesca and Family,
I went to Cabrillo SChool with Francesca from about third grade to fifth. I have been trying to get in contact with her for quite some time, and I am sorry that it has to be under such unpleasant circumstances. I briefly knew Angelo and he was a wonderful person. I am really sorry for your loss and I wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you.

Psalm 23
1
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
3
He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
This is a verse that I have found to be comforting to me during my husbands death. Remember that when it seems that no one else is round, God is still there with you! And he will be your rock!
My daughter,McKaLyne, and I send our heartfelt sympathy for your loss! God Bless this warrior, God Bless those whom serve freedom's cause! They are our true HERO's!!!!

To the Family of Pfc. Angelo A. Zawaydeh:
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courgeous young man who gave his life so selflessly. We lost our son 12/1/05.
I know first hand there are no words right now that will bring you the comfort and peace you need. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you mourn this loss. We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with. They will never be forgotten, never able to be replaced, but sometime, someday your memories will sustain you. This courageous soldier will forever now be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well. If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away. God Bless this courageous soldier and his family.
