Jennifer SCHILLER Obituary

SCHILLER, Jennifer M. Jennifer M. Schiller, 48, of New Britain, beloved wife of Steven P. Schiller and mother of their beloved son, Jordan T. Schiller, passed away Wednesday, (April 20, 2011) at St. Francis Hospital. She was born May 1, 1962 in New Haven to Duncan Studley of Plainville, and the late Nancy Jean Studley. She graduated from high school in West Virginia and went on to receive her degree as a paralegal at the Hartford College for Women. She was employed for the past fifteen years as a paralegal at the Hartford Law Firm of Berman, Bourns, Aaron and Dembo, LLC. Previously she worked for Friedle, Madorin and Ustach of New Britain. When she was diagnosed with cancer in 2003, Jennifer resolved to live to the fullest. Her greatest joy was in outdoor adventures with Steve and Jordan. She loved wilderness camping, kayaking, hiking, biking and gardening. She and Steve were trail maintainers for the Connecticut Forest and Park Association. Jennifer was also an accomplished runner and past president of the Hartford Track Club. She had a special passion for ultra marathon distance races and trail running. She won and holds records for a number of regional races including the East Lyme Marathon and the JFK 50 Mile run. Jennifer was an ardent fan of the Red Sox, Rock Cats, Patriots and UCONN Huskies. In addition to her husband, son and father, she is survived by a sister, Catherine Wolters of Texas, a brother, Michael Studley of Hampton, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Jennifer was predeceased by her mother and sister, Deborah Duchaime. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, April 26, 10 A.M. at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 9 A.M. until the time of the Service at Carlson Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
