KATHY MICHELLE PHILLIPS

Kathy Michelle Phillips, 52, of Independence, MO, left us on March 8, 2011. Cremation is planned with private memorial services to be held at a later date. Kathy was born December 16, 1958 in Independence, MO, to Paul and Fredia (Goldsberry) Dugger and has been a lifelong area resident graduating from Ft. Osage High School in 1977. Kathy was a warm, caring, and optimistic woman who is deeply missed by everyone that knew her. She lived a productive life by assisting those in need. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother who leaves behind a husband of 28 years, Michael Phillips; four children: Elizebeth Laguardia, of Grandview, MO, Michael Phillips, Richard Porter, William Porter, all of Independence, MO; her father, Paul Dugger, of Raytown, MO; and 5 wonderful grandchildren: Travis, Austin, David, Dakota, and Makayla.
