Kevin Goodreau Obituary
Kevin D. Goodreau, 28, of Philadelphia, formerly of Macungie, passed away on October 21, 2010. Born in Allentown. He was the son of Dr. James J. and Susan M. (Matherne) Goodreau. He graduated from Emmaus High School, Penn State University where he earned a B.S. in biology, and he studied cardiac profusion at Shadyside Medical Center in Pittsburgh. He was a cardiac profusionist at Aria Hospital, Torresdale Campus in Philadelphia. Survivors: Parents; brother, Jimmy Goodreau and his wife Merry; sister, Erin Teskey and her husband Bill; brother, Colin Goodreau and his fiancee Colleen Marron; nieces and nephews; paternal grandmother, Alice Suzanne Goodreau; maternal grandfather, Cleveland (Bubba) Matherne. Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 7 p.m. Monday, St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Avenue, Allentown. Call 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in the church. Interment 10 a.m. Tuesday, Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville. Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Allentown. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mercy Special Learning Center, 830 S. Woodward Street, Allentown PA 18103.

It is so hard for me to believe that I will never see Kevin's face again. I have the sweetest memories of him, Picking him up halfway from the HS, barefoot!. At the "old Brookside" jumping around with Bill and Colin, sitting near the back french doors one Christmas, fully engaged in 'the game" going for that $5. bill. Big smile on his face.

Our sincere sympathies and prayers are sent your way during these very trying times. I lost a brother in 1968 at the age of 14, almost 15 and one year senior to me. It was a very undescribeable challenge in life. It help me in later years to realize that we are blessed by God for giving us the time to share with a loved one and only he knows what our assignments are here on earth and when that assignment is completed and called back home with him. I truely believe that when a loved one is called back to return to God, he gives you great memories in your thoughts and abundance of love in your heart, plus Kevin is now a bonus guardian angel to keep you safe until you reunite again.
