I was just telling my 15-year-old daughter stories from Mr. Garrigan's biology class a couple of weeks ago. Mr. Garrigan was a very encouraging person and one of my favorite teachers. You and your family are on my mind.

Hi Brinda, it's Patti Woodham (class of '72). I have payed it forward several times in Tommy's and your honor to help kids get started in college. I'll never forget Tommy building my first coffee table and end table and you both driving to Tuscaloosa with me! I'm just sorry that I waited to tell him how often I have thought of him. I live in Panama City now and am an English professor...
love to you and TJ

Mr. Garrigan was a wonderfully engaging teacher who made a lasting impression on me. I've often thought that his lively psychology class at Lanier was a key first step in my path to becoming a psychiatrist and educator. My sympathies go to all his family, who must miss him very much.

I remember him as Mr.Garrigan, the teacher at Lanier HS. He volunteered to drive the Science Club on a trip to Daytona, Fl and Kennedy Space Center. He was kind and patient with us in spite of our rambunctious behavior and occasionally less than cooperative attitude.
