Margaret Elizabeth "Beth" Strickland

Hull - Margaret Elizabeth "Beth" Strickland, 59, died December 1, 2011.
Born in Commerce, Beth was a daughter of Dorothy P. Swindel, of Hull, and the late George Amory Swindel, Jr. She was a 1970 graduate of Madison County High School and worked for nearly twenty years at the Athens Plastic Surgery Clinic, followed by several years with Dr. Kevin Adams in Danielsville. She enjoyed reading, knitting, taking care of her cats and spending time with family and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 2 p.m., at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, with Rev. Billy Owensby officiating. Interment will be in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband, Rudy Strickland; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Bronwyn Strickland, of Dolores, CO, and Seth P. and Heather Strickland, of Hull; sister and brother-in-law, Ann Swindel and Jim Nuckolls; aunt, Carol Cappleman; cousins, Jimmy Jones, Leigh Foster and Patsy Jones of Hull, Jon Jones of Arkansas, Rodney Park of Iowa and Cynthia Seagraves of Commerce. The family would like to offer their sincere appreciation to Beth's cousin, Patsy Jones, and aunt, Carol Cappleman, both of Hull, for their care and support, as well as Susan Young, Beth's spiritual advisor. Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter. The family may be reached at the home of Dorothy Swindel.
