We just received word of Joe leaving us tonight (here in Japan) where we've been gratefully serving the Lord as missionaries for 45 years. We are so grateful that we got to visit him and family in their lovely home, where we had the most delicious meal and family gathering last year. No one could have had a better little brother than he was for all those years. Our hearts go out to his wife Barbara and sister Albertine and families and friends in a special way, with our fervent prayers for their hearts peace and comfort at this most difficult time when we must truly trust God fully, "...Have faith in God." (Mark 11:22)

Most lovingly,

Barbara (Elliott) and Bill Neel

A VERY SAD DAY FOR ME. JOE LIVED ACROSS THE CREEK FROM ME IN BUENA PARK.
HE WAS MY FIRST REAL FRIEND. HE SPENT A LOT OF TIME WITH ME LETTING ME
PITCH TO HIM. HE WAS FIVE YEARS OLDER THAN ME AND WAS WAY AHEAD OF HIS
AGE FOR BEING A GREAT PERSON
MY PRAYERS ARE WITH THE FAMILY AT THIS TIME.

Although Joe was a few years ahead of me at Fullerton High, I remember him as being friendly to all--even us lower classmates. My condolences to all of his family.
