Here there Tom,
We had a reminder email about Laura's passing..10 years ago now. Your legacy, Hiller's Emblem Shop, continues to thrive and is still supporting the community. You did good!! They even keep some visqueen hanging up just for you! Now don't get a swelled head but you taught me a lot in those 15 years we worked together. Here's a cartoon for you from the old days...

I was just informed by a mutual friend, Stan Edwards, that Tom had passed away. I met Tom many years ago when I was involved with the Active 20 30 club in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We attended many conventions together.
One of my fondest memories was taking him to a Calgary Flames hockey game sometime around 1984 and introducing him to the Mayor of Calgary. He was very pleased. We kept in touch over the years. As recently as last October we had a conversation and he informed me that he had cancer but expected to live another 2/3 years.
Please accept my sincerest condolences.

I traveled with Tom many times over the years, ski trips, camping trips, rafting trips. Tom was a very special person to me and he helped me immensely following the death of my 2 daughters. He always knew how to make me laugh and taught me how to enjoy life, how to have fun again. I am forever grateful for the gift of his friendship. Peace be with you Tom.

Tom was a super guy with a big heart who always was ready with a hug, and a contagious smile. We spent lots of fun years with Tom skiing in Lake Tahoe and celebrating apres ski.
I will always remember his gift to my grandchildren of wedding rehearsal tee shirts when Fred and I were married.
We cherish our memories of you always Tom!

I've really enjoyed reading what friends have had to say. I spent 15 years working with Tom and his kids and nephew. I smile when I think of all the late nights we spent printing caps and shirts for little league. What a time we had!! I'd do it all again :-) You will be missed but you will never be forgotten

As a child, I remember Uncle Tom as charming, charismatic, friendly, smiling and confident. Seemed like a “cool guy. The memorial was very nice. The cousins did an amazing job. I hope we stay in touch to keep the family connected. Take care, Ron Stewart (son of Lavonne Hiller).

Oh, so many good times. Parties with the 20-30 gang, beach trips, and my favorite, Tom throwing snowballs from one end of the living room to the other at our house on new year's eve as Joyce arrived home from work. That devilish smile will be missed.

Skiing with Tom was always FUN!!!!
The videos.......Once on a ski trip with Mr. Hiller to Europe he was under the weather, so I promised to ski the third run for him. It was on the Stubai glacier in Austria, I ducked under the rope into a double black rock choked chute and named it appropriately "Tommy's Run". I will always remember my FUN friend and skiing buddy. His passing saddens me.........

Tom was an amazing person, he always managed to make you feel special when he was around. I was fortunate to go on a couple of his Tahoe trips - they were the best. I was also on the Bleu By You PTC team that Tom made our shirts for for 10 years. Rest in Peace Tom - you will be greatly missed.

I remember Tom from BHS and he was the only "guy" in our short hand class and did we have fun. After seeing him at the school reunions...he was the same old Tom. What a neat guy. Kay Howarth Baricevic

Ray and I have many wonderful memories of trips with Tom to Lake Tahoe. He always made us feel welcome and included in whatever he was up to, whether it was a day of skiing or an evening at a local restaurant. More recently we often saw him on bike rides. He was working hard to get and stay in shape. He was a kind, generous man and we are saddened to lose him. Ray and Samantha Waltz`
