JIMMIE ANTHONY RIVERS Age 33, passed away Friday, September 17, 2010. He was born March 2, 1977 in Boynton Beach, the son of Jimmie and Denise (Fusco) Rivers (original owner of DJ's Restaurant and Boynton Diner). He was the youngest person in school history to graduate from DiBacco School, Lake Worth, in 1991 and attended Florida Atlantic University later that year at age 14. He was a very happy, caring and thoughtful man who enjoyed living life to the fullest. The most important part of his life was his family. Jimmie is survived by his mother and stepfather, Denise and Dominic Palaia; his brother, Anthony Rivers; grandmother, Yole Fusco; aunt, Denine Sherear; godchild, Alexis Sherear and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by his wife, Denise, and stepdaughter, Kathryn Smith. He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Rivers; grandfather, Anthony Fusco, and stepbrother, Dominic J. Palaia, Jr. Friends will be received Friday from 5 PM - 8 PM at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of U.S. Hwy. #1 and N.E. 15th Ave., Boynton Beach. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 11 AM at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 643 St. Mark Place, Boynton Beach. Wow I can’t believe I am sitting here reading this!! Oh sweet Jimmie. How I can see your smile and hear your laugh like it was yesterday!! From Cracker Barrel to Cocoa Beach we had a crazy fun ride!! To be honest Cocoa Beach holds a special place in my heart ♥ I go visit there at least 4 to 5 times a month and I always stop by Apartment 18!!! Rest Easy Sweet Jimmie. Wow I can’t believe I am reading this!! I can still remember your smile and that laugh like it was yesterday! From Cracker Barrel to Cocoa Beach we had a crazy ride. hello, it is me your only mother, as you know your tough old mom made it through my brain sugery.the drs cant believe i was making my bed in intensive care. started radiation 5 more then chemo. I know you and bebop will lead me through it. AS YOU ALWAYS KNOW DOMINIC WILL TAKE GOOD CARE OF ME. BUT U ALWAYS KNEW THAT. ANTHONY IS DOING GOOD YOU KNOW WHAT HE FEELS AND HIS FEARS ARE, BUT U KNOW I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE. Mom is on day four of radiation. Everything is going well so far. She told me that you were with her in surgery and intensive care. We can't go in with her for radiation so I hope you are by her side. Come see her soon she misses you and I miss you too. I love you Jimmie.

Just wanted to say thanks for being there with mom for the surgery. Not sure how she would have done without you. Stay with her while she gets better. The first step is over we will figure out what to do next. Help me make the right decisions in the future. Watch over mom for us. She needs to be calmnwhile she gets better she is going way too fast. Jimmie- this is not good bye this is till we meet again one day. I am glad we had the time that we were given,a chance to talk...I know when you were a little guy you always waited for me to go do things , sometimes you waited a long time but we always had great times. Especially when we went to the beach that was your favorite. Also the trip when we went to W. Virginia and told everyone we were in Fernandino Beach, that was a good one. I know you are in a special place now and God has a plan for you, you are out of pain and watching over us all. You were the type of person that never meet a stranger and everyone was your friend. YOu always gave a helping hand . I miss you with all my heart and I know the heavens have a new Angel Amoung them flying proud being the leader of the pac. I love you and will see you again one day.

We are shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Jimmie Rivers. He was one of our most memorable students at The Di Bacco School. He had a gifted mind and we felt privileged to be able to help nurture his educational development. But we are sorry that his life has been cut short at such a young age. We are so saddened and shocked to hear about Jimmie! Little Bon went to school with him at St Mark's and we can clearly remember him working at the restaurant. He was truly a very bright and wonderful young man! Our hearts are filled with pain.
