Dr. Johnson was my GP as I grew up in Pasadena from age 7 or so until I was a university student.... When I decided I wanted to be a physician as a student at USC, I went to see him to talk about what it was like to be a doctor...I was inspired by his encouragement. He was both a great doctor and great man. I still think about him often as he was my first role model of what a physician should be like. Caring, available, thoughtful and a good friend to all. I have quoted him numerous times since being a physician...I did go to med school later, attending and graduating from the USC School of Medicine in 1979 and I continue to practice cosmetic surgery today in Newport beach, CA for the last 25 years....Thank you Dr. Johnson! Thank you for inspiring me and always being there from when I was a boy and through my USC years...Your impact has been wonderful and profound.. Thomas Barnes, MD. Newport Beach, CA

Dear Daddy,
I miss you more every day and it never has gotten easier. I want to call you all the time to ask you medical questions or just talk about silly trivia that amuses us. I think about all the things that were important to you and how some of those things are important to me too. Like loyalty and family...I love you and miss you and will always hold on to and cherish the time we had together ...it went too fast. Love Binna xoxo

Dear Grandpa,
I can't believe you are gone. i will never forget any of the wonderful things that happened in our time togehter. I always remember the little stories you would tell us about the "Man who went to the Amazon without his pajamas on" or "The man who fell into a puddle up to his middle" they make me laugh every time I think of them now. YOu wil be missed greatly amongst our family and friends.
Love you always,
Ashley Johnson ((grandaughter))

Dear Doctor Johnson - oh how you will be missed! I thank you for the precious gift of your first born daughter Belinda... I thank you for... your exemplary life, displaying in your "quiet way" the goodness of family, dedication, hard work, decency... your brilliant mind and thirst for knowledge... your passion for collecting... teaching me and others to see life's beauty in nature... for introducing me to "our love" of Palm trees... for the old-fashioned place from where you came... for the life that shaped you... and for your lineage that helped produce your beautiful grand-daughters! Love your son-in-law, Roger
