BARTONVILLE - Jennifer K. Smith, 41, of 4606 W. Whipp Ave., Bartonville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, at 8:40 a.m. at her residence.
She was born May 19, 1970, in Peoria, Ill., the daughter of Lynn and Emma (Langeberg) Mitchell. She married Richard D. Smith on May 8, 2004, in Bartonville. He survives.
Also surviving are her father and stepmother, Lynn and Diana Mitchell of Morton; her mother and stepfather, Emma and Arnold Collier of Emden; two children, Brittany (Allan) Woodard and Brock Delaney, both of Bartonville; a stepson, Tanner Smith of Rochester, Minn.; a goddaughter, Rachel Arnold of Tulsa, Okla.; a stepbrother, Shawn Scoles; two sisters, Wendy (Dan) Glover of Creve Coeur and Charlotte (Tony) Melton of West Peoria; and two stepsisters, Natellie Collier and Brook Olson.
Jennifer was a medical coder for Heart Care Midwest in Peoria.
She attended Glad Tidings Church in East Peoria.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Endsley-Sedgwick Funeral Home, Bartonville. Immediately following the visitation, there will be a celebration of her life at her residence.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Jennifer;
You recieved your wings, your job on earth is finally done and now God has called you home. To the family that she has left behind smile because during the short time that I got to know her she made me smile. No matter what her spirts were at the time she made sure she smiled. Don't cry because she is always with you right in your HEART!!! May God bless you during this time in life.
