John Parsons and I(Jo Ann Frankel) loved spending time with Bob and loved being with him at the lake. I still think of those memories often.
I am surprised to see that Bob passed on my birthday-July 17, I had forgotten this . John passed in 2014, and I'm quite sure Bob and John have found each other again!! Sending love to the family.

For Captain Bob,
"Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar." Lord A. Tennyson
We already miss you and send our heartfelt wishes for peace to your family.

My Captain, My Captain, My 2nd Father....Your passing has left a deep sea nearly empty as I weep for my brothers family and our loss. We fill it again quickly with our tears and fond memories of him as he coached and guided us from our youths...A wonderful man, rarely seen without a smile and always inviting. You have left us with many treasured memories and my greatest treasure from you, your son, my only brother. For he has become a Captain for his boys. May your light shine down on us all, and guide us away from the perils of life.

To my uncle and all the family. Some of the fondest memoires of my childhood are of Uncle Bob and Uncle Paul and all of us cousins! My deepest sympathies to all

Captain Bob and Sinbad will always be great memories of the North Bridge Marina on Lake Norman. The dock was not the same after he moved, but we were always glad to see him when he came to visit! His light will shine on in the lighthouse of our memories. . .Our thoughts are with his family.

Uncle Bob was a great, fun man! I fondly remember his visits to Swansea, walking to the "boat yard" or to the store to get "pogey bait." We had many great clam boils on the back yard picnic table. He will be missed. Laine (Bigos) Hardman (Alexandria, VA)

Bob was truly a fixture at Bernard's Landing and the lake. He will certainly be missed as a neighbor and as a friend.
