Josephine Kozlowski Obituary
MISHAWAKA - Josephine L. "Josie" Kozlowski, 90, of Mishawaka, died Saturday, December 4, 2010. She was born in Mishawaka on January 14, 1920, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Bauert) Null. Josie married Harry Kozlowski in Mishawaka on October 4, 1947. He died on November 23, 1985. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers. Josie is survived by a son, Harry Kozlowski Jr. of Mishawaka; a daughter, Josephine "Jo" Kozlowski of Mishawaka, with whom she lived; two grandchildren, Heather Ashton and Clinton (Melony) Kozlowski; and two great-grandchildren, Genny Ashton and Eddie Kozlowski; and several nieces and nephews. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with family and sharing memories. Josie loved animals, always having a pet dog. She was a lifetime member of St. Andrew's United Church of Christ. Josie was an Avon representative for 42 years. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, from 3-7 p.m. in the Bubb Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew's United Church of Christ, to The Humane Society or to Pet Refuge. Memorial condolences may be sent to Bubbfuneralchapel.com.

Dear Jo,
I was so sorry to learn of your mother's passing today as I read the paper. I know how very close you were to her. Just think of it as a "transition" until you meet up again! I'll always remember both of you and your Avon business.

I remember Mrs. Kozlowski as I was growing up in the church. I have very fond memories of her being such a nice person. I was especially jealous of her curly hair. You are so lucky to have had her for such a long time. My sympathies to your family.

Aunt Josie will be sorely missed. She was the glue that kept the Null memories alive for 90 years. Rest in peace from your Null nieces Connie, Bonnie, Jackie, Patty, Virginia, Dorla, Shirley, Mary Jo, Sherri Jan and newphew Joe Barhydt.
