Nelson M. Lightcap Jr.

Nelson M. Lightcap Jr., 70, of Lebanon Township, N.J., died on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Morristown Medical Center. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at 6 p.m. in the Coughlin Funeral Home, 15 Academy St., Califon, N.J. Burial will be on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Mountain View Cemetery in Cokesbury, N.J. Calling hours are on Wednesday prior to the service from 4 to 6 p.m. Nelson was born in Plainfield, N.J., on March 3, 1924, and lived in Cranford, N.J., before moving to Lebanon Township in 1986. After retiring from The Robbins & Allison Moving Company in Cranford, N.J., he worked as a deliveryman for Brook Run Farm in Lebanon Township. Nelson was a graduate of Cranford High School and Middle Tennessee State College. A member of the Cranford Lions Club, he was an avid fly fisherman and enjoyed walking his dog, Charlie Nelson is survived by his wife, Irene Pospisil Lightcap; a son, Keith, and his wife, Sheri, of Huntington Beach, Calif.; a daughter, Renee Lightcap, of Marina, Calif., and her fiance, Loveday Camille; a brother, Jonathan, of Cranford, N.J.; a sister, Joan Robinson, of Port. St. Lucie, Fla.; a grandson, Staler Lightcap, and a step granddaughter, Brielle Aldrich. Memorial donations may be made to pdf.org., parkinson's foundation.
