Our Condolences to the Hockaday family. I had the pleasure to work with Eugene at Cascades Sonoco in early 2000. Eugene was well respected by our employees and will be missed.

On December 2nd God called on one of his angels home my dear,sweet,kind and loving husband. Eugene I thank God for the 26yrs that we spent together, the good and the bad. I have so many memories that we shared together but the 2 I remember the most when we reaffirmed our wedding vows before God. Also when you excepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and was baptized in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost. I'm glad that you saw the relationship that I have with Jesus and you wanted that also.I'm going through some things right now but it is making me a stronger women in the Lord. I know I went against your wishes but I wanted peace, please understand and forgive me. I miss you so much . Forever your loving beatiful peacock. Mrs. Vernetta S. Hockaday. Love you always.

Just wanted to offer condolences to the entire family of Eugene Hockaday...this as really come as a shock to me and I really have learned to appreciate the "gift of life". You never know what moment will be you last and you have to value each moment of each day to make the best of it.
