Kendra Robertson-Queen

December 5, 2011

To all the friends and family of my mother, Abbadean Robertson, thank you for your prayers and outpour of love for my father and me. We know that mommy loved life and showed it through her kindness to others, her strong belief in God and prayer, and through her engaging smile. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend as you have all stated in your cards, emails, calls and personal notes. She was also a warrior in her fight against her consuming health problems. I honor her determination and fight to overcome the constant difficulty breathing and the pain that she finally had to endure.
We feel blessed to have been graced with her in our lives. My father and I truly thank each and everyone one of you for your kindness. We loved her so much and we have lost an integral part of our family. Please continue to pray for our family during our time of grief.

Dear Mr. Robertson and Family:
Please accept my condolences on the passing of Abbadean my childhood friend. From the time we entered Monroe Elementary school together until our graduation fron Dunbar High School, Abbadean never forgot her roots that gave both of us our core values. I am especially grateful for Abbadean's leadership of the alumni of Dunbar High School for the Class of 1955.

The family has my heartfelt sympathy.

Sincerely.

Remembrance of Abbadean

With the rising sun and in its going down, we will remember her.
In the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter, we will remember her.
In the opening buds and in the rebirth of spring, we will remember her. we will remember her.
In the blueness of the sky and in the warmth of the summer, we will remember her.
In the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn, we will remember her.
In the beginning of the year and when it ends, we will remember her.
When we are weary and in need of strength, we will remember her.
When we are lost and sick at heart, we will remember her.
When we have joys we learn to share, we will remember her.
So long as we live, she shall live, for she is a part of us, as we remember her.

The Parker and Briscoe families would like to express our sincere condolences at this difficult time in your life. Remember always that God is with each and every one of you and will surely see you through. I will never forget the day Mrs. Robertson, although not feeling very well that day herself, came across the street to try and lend words of encouragement and understanding to my mother. I will always be thankful for that day. May God bless your entire family and know that our prayers are with you and yours.

Dear Myron, Kendra and Family,

While we will miss Abbadean's physical presence, we certainly remember the times when our families got together and enjoyed each other. These are the times we remember most about Abbadean and her unmistakable laughter. She will always be with us in spirit. You are in our thoughts and prayers and we are here for you.

As a high school classmate, I feel a personal loss. Our class was very special and each member played an important part of that history. I want to express my sincerest condolences to the family and relatives. May God give you comfort and peace knowing that she was loved and respected by all who knew her.

My heart is so heavy. We were friends for so long . . . so many secrets .... so many giggles... girl, girl, girl!
I know you know, family....she was some kind of special. But as time goes by, our tears will turn to smiles when we speak her name. I promise...Love and Kisses. Gail

Like so many people, I will truly miss Abbadean as a Dunbar classmate, a reunion committee member and most importantly as a friend. I will cherish the memory of our last telephone conversation the 1st or 2nd week of October. We must have talked and laughed about everything and everybody, and after about an hour she said "some people would say we've been visiting on the telephone". She sounded so strong then. It's hard for me to believe that she is gone.

To the family - As one of my close friends, I truly loved your wife, your mother, your grandmother, your sister, your mother-in-law, your aunt, and I pray that God will keep her close to Him and watch over you in her absence.

I already miss my auntie. I keep thinking she is going to join the fellowship in her living room and then I remember it is in honor of her and her life. We miss you in places in our hearts we barely knew existed. Thank you for loving me so much. I will always love you. Your neice, Sonia
