Dear Tracie and Vince,
Though I knew your father for a short period of time, I felt I had known him for ages. We worked in the same profession (HR), but we talked and laughed about any subject that came to mind. It was very evident that he loved his family and he recognized he was blessed with loving family and friends.

Dear Tracie and Vince,
In your Dad's big book of friends, it was my honor to be one of those with 30 plus years of respect and admiration. Your Dad was a true "Super Dude". He was an observant and inquisitive man of convictions with moral substance. Not a "fly by night" or moody individual - always Dell under total control.A person you could learn a lot from by listening and conversing with Dell - Indeed he was a man with wisdom. We enjoyed vast conversations on life and the turns and twists of fate. He was not deterred by impending death and stood fast to his convictions. Some of his lessons and discussions I will carry with me forever. He expressed his love for his family and kept close connections with many friends.

Mr. Longus, our family has been truly blessed to have known you all these years. It's been almost 30 years since I first met you and your wonderful children, Tracie and Vince since moving here from the UK. I so enjoyed your spirit, your amazing sense of humor and your refreshing candor. There is only one Dell Longus who will be sorely missed by so many of us and our family will never be the same without you. I miss our talks, joking around and I just plain miss you. God is the lucky one to have you so close by his side now precious one. Until we meet again, I will love you always! God Bless you, with Love,

To Dell's family and friends, I was deeply saddened to learn of his passing but know he is in a good place. He was such a fine man. He loved and cared for so many people. We should all celebrate his life. Be proud, his accomplishments leave a lasting legacy.

Dear Tracie and Vince,
My 30+ year friendship with Dell has brought immeasurable joy and insight to my life. He cared so deeply for his family and friends. in part, i feel terribly sad, adjusting to his absence, but then I catch myself chuckling, thinking of his laughter at all our mischief and mayhem over all that time! RIP, Dear Dell.

Tracie, Vince and Susan,
I just came across a tee shirt that Del bought me when he, Gloria and I were down in VA doing wine tasting. It was my birthday (18 yrs ago) and we went to this winery called Naked Mountain. We went to this winery called Naked Mountain and when he saw this tee shirt that said "Drink Naked", he said you have to have this. That was Del with his twinkle in his eye sense of humor. The three of us had so much fun and laughter to include singing, well Gloria and I would sing and Del was gracious enough to listen. That what I will remember Del as gracious, witty, always ready to attach a picture of his travels to his e-mail pals (way before FB). I will be out of the country for the 17th and told Gloria that day I will find a place that has single malt scotch and lift a glass to a wonderful man.

Mr. Longus, I feel privileged to have known you for 32 years of my life. You treated me like a second daughter.

Your gentle, compassionate, generous spirit, and no nonsense style had a positive influence on me. I enjoyed our special times together and admired you greatly. I won't forget our shared love of oysters and Little Debbies.

You will be missed by all those you touched.

With love,

Vince Longus
