Mrs Mantooth was the mother of my best friend at Fort Eustis. She always welcomed me into their home where I spent a lot of time. I remember her ironing-she seemed to always be ironing. I smile at the memory. Thanks to her family for including me. I hope Theresa will contact me.

Dear Mark,

Our sympathy to all your family, but I meant to address this to you, as you and Brendan were friends, and I knew you. I remember you sitting at my kitchen table, always such a gentleman. I remember Brendan visiting you at Ft. Lee, and your mother graciously taking him sightseeing. We were all proud of your accomplishments, as you grew into a fine young man.

Dear Mike,

Our family is saddened to learn of both your mother and father's passing. We have fond memories of you, in Kings Park. You were good friends and neighbors. Brendan said classmates asked about you, at his recent Lake Braddock reunion.

We would like to attend your mother's funeral, but are going out of town. Frances was a lovely lady. Our prayers will be with you.

Brendan, Jean, Julie and Terry, send their condolences. We will remember the good times.

Sincerely,

Kevin Derouin
