I have so many special memories of my high school years spent with the Marshall Family. Alan was always the calm voice of reason showing a wisdom beyond his years with caring and compassion for all. I know he was a wonderful teacher, son, brother, father, husband and friend to so many and he will be greatly missed by all! My sincere heartfelt condolences go out to Sally, his children and the Marshall family.

I didn't know Alan well, but I'm so impressed at his sharing of the wilderness. He was a giving-to-others man in so many ways. Sally Buffington

Alan and I ran cross country at Crawford. He was a decent, hard working, unassuming individual. We ran into each other just once at SDSC. It comes as no surprise that he chose teaching as his career.

Alan was a special person who was perfectly placed to teach special students. A man of character, dedication and high morals. He was a great teacher, father, husband and friend. I valued him so much.
