So sad to hear of Alan's passing, knew him for many years from driving us home in his taxi at the weekend, to socializing with him in the local at the weekend.

I send my deepest heartfelt thoughts and sympathy to all of Alan's family. Alan was a dear friend to me he was such a kind,big hearted, charming gentle giant who always made everyone laugh. I will never forget all the fun times and laughs we shared in Glasgow, Newcastle and Dublin, I could write I book he always said. Those memories will always be dear to me and will always have a special place in my heart. Can't believe you are gone Alan too soon my big pal .The world won't be the same...

Alan-words can't describe the void in my life and heart without you.You were , are , and always will be my rock . Thank you with all of my heart .Any place you are is better because it has you in it . My condolences to your family nd anyone lucky enough to have even a moment with you.
