Elaine was a great friend to all she met. So full of love and kindness for everyone. Such a happy person and a delight to be around. Will miss her greatly. My prayers are with her family. Knowing she is at peace should give you much comfort. She will always remain in our hearts. God has another angel in his kingdom.

Following eigth years serving as Deputy
Director of the Office of Planning and Budget for Governor's Carter and Busbee I was hired as a Lobbyist for the Georgia
Petroleum Council in August 1978.
That's when my real education began .... I MET ELAINE MEYERS.
Whenever I was in the Capitol my first visit was to Elaine's office.
I was 39 years old and a novice to the real Capitol culture. Elaine was an answer to prayer. I felt special simply because she treated me like everyone else... and that says it all. She was an angel acting as a traffic cop, Den Mother, confidential advisor, and caring friend.
She exhibited a strong work ethic, a clear conscience and deep love for her family.
She will be long remembered but never replaced.

Looking at this photo that is posted is how I remember seeing you each time we met, with a beautiful smile on your face. You were just as beautiful inside. The Capitol will never be the same without you, Elaine. There is a light that is no longer shining on this earth but we know where you are and look forward to seeing you again someday.

Elaine believed in playing fair. I'll always appreciate how she treated me when I was not the most popular member of the Judy Committee. I'm glad she is no longer suffering, but I will miss knowing she was always there.

Elaine was a friend to everyone who walked into her office. She was so helpful and kind. She was also a wonderful cook. I still use her key lime pie recipe every summer. She was truly an asset to the citizens of Georgia and will be greatly missed by all of us who knew her.

It's terrible news to hear of the passing of Elaine who was such an outstanding public servant and always a breath of fresh air around the Capitol. I remember her best as Secretary for House Judiciary Chairman Jim Martin and his successors; along with the Ethics Committee in those days. She was just simply a wonderful woman who will be greatly missed, but not forgotten.
