Jo STORM Obituary

STORM, Jo Kathryn Jo Kathryn (Jody) Storm, age 94, of Dunwoody, Georgia passed away November 15, 2014. A memorial service for Jody will be held Saturday, November 29 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church with Reverend Joe B. Martin officiating. Jody was born in Beaumont, Texas on August 11, 1920. While living in Illinois, she married Lee Roy R. Storm, Jr., in 1967. They moved to Dunwoody, Georgia in 1974. She worked her entire career as an executive secretary and retired from Chicago Bridge & Iron (CB&I.) Jody was a dedicated member of Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church for 40 years. Her favorite activities included reading, listening to music, playing bridge, swimming at the Dunwoody Baptist Church Center and cooking - but mostly she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially Roy, her husband of nearly 50 years, and her beloved grandchildren. Jody is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Blanche Priest, and three brothers R.C., Buck & Cecil. Jody is survived by her sister Helen Honea of Texas, sons Larry (Deah) Gary of Illinois, Stephen Storm of Colorado, Stewart Storm of Georgia, daughters Starla Steinmann and Stacia (Tim) Minton of Georgia and 5 grandchildren: Stewart Storm Jr., Stephanie Storm, Syra Steinmann, Melody Minton and Marily Minton. Jody will be missed by all. She was a blessing to her family and friends and a bright light in this world. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Mt. My dear friend Jody was like a sister to me.From the very first day my family and I moved into our home(just 2 houses up the street)Jody and Roy were the first ones to put together a "welcome to the neighborhood"party for us.We were friends ever since.She was my swimming buddy too! I got the chance to visit with your mom in October on my last visit to Atlanta Your mom was so sweet and kind to everyone,especially my mom Janie.I always enjoyed talking to her I will miss her a lot having known her 35 years God bless you during this time and I know Jodi will watch over all of those she loved
