Irma F. (Reinhart) Singleton
Evansville, Ind.
Irma F. (Reinhart) Singleton, 90, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Heritage Center.
Irma was born in Evansville, Indiana on October 10, 1922 to the late Edward and Sophia (Greubel) Reinhart. She graduated from Memorial High School and Lockyear Business College. Irma was a secretary for Hahn Inc. for 18 years and the State Hospital for 5 years. She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in the city, where she was a volunteer for the summer socials, Sunday dinners and she was also a greeter. Irma was a member of Little Sisters Auxiliary, St. Anne's Altar Society and a member of USO during WWII. She enjoyed playing clabber, she belonged to two clabber clubs.
Irma is survived by: Daughters, Donna Rutter of Evansville, IN and Anna (Bryan) Fultz of OH; Sons, Donald (Karen) Singleton Jr. of Syracuse, NY, Edward Singleton of Evansville, IN and Robert Singleton of SD; Daughter-in-law, Donna (Carl) Singleton; Grandchildren, Heather Rutter Walters, Sean Rutter, Vanessa Fultz Dirheimer, Adam Fultz, Beth Singleton Buehler, Will, Kate, Todd, Tiffany, Isaac, Amanda and Derek Singleton; Great-Grandchildren, Brandon Hart, MaKenzie Walters, Meghan, Aaron and Evan Buehler, Todd W. and Jonathan Singleton, Braden and Aubrey Dirheimer and Kali Fleek.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald W. Singleton Sr., sons, Carl and Daniel Singleton, daughter-in-law, Faye (Ed) Singleton, brothers, Omer, Joe, Les, Norm, Ray, Lee, Ed, Gene and Ralph Reinhart.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 607 E. Iowa Street with Father Ronald Kreilein celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, May 31, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue Evansville, IN 47711, where a Rosary will be held at 1:45 pm. Friends may also visit from 9:00 am until service time on Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl Memphis, TN 38105.
