On the occasion of Br.David professing Solemn Final Vows.
Neil Foley
October 7, 2013
David posted at the Byzantine Forum (www.byzcath.org/forums) for many years as 'DavidB, the Byzantine Catholic' before he entered Carmel and changed his username. The members of the forum remembered him in prayer throughout his illness and do so now, in his final repose.
O God of spirits and of all flesh, Who have trampled death, overthrown the devil, and granted life to Your world; now, O Lord, give rest to the soul of Your servant, Brother David, who has fallen asleep, in a place of light, a place of green pasture, a place of refreshment, where there is neither pain nor sorrow nor sighing, but only life everlasting.
O God, Who are good and the Lover of Mankind, forgive every sin committed by him, in word or deed or thought, for there is no man who lives and who does not sin. For You alone are without sin and You are the resurrection and the life.
May the memory of our friend and brother be eternal!
