Carl Clarett Obituary
Carl Clarett Sr., age 86, of Erie, died Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at Park Avenue Rehabilitation and Nursing, in Meadville, Pa. He was born in Houston, Miss., on March 28, 1928, a son of the late Lock and Junetta Gladney Clarett.
He worked for many years as a mechanic for Will McLane Foundry and enjoyed playing pool.
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by three sisters, Clarice Davison, Flessey Carter and Fay N. Moore.
He is survived by three children, Carl Clarett Jr., Carol Clarett and Pat Clarett, all of Chicago. He also leaves three brothers, Joseph Clarett (Lucille) of Rochester, N.Y., Herod Clarett of Erie and Evans Clarett, also of Erie. Carl is also survived by two sisters, Shirley Pace of Erie and Barbara Knight (McLloyd) of Compton, Calif. Many grandchildren, nieces and nephews also remain.
Friends may call at Firstborn Apostolic Faith Church of God, 1221 East 19th Street, Erie, Pa., on Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service there at 12:00 noon, with Bishop Climatee Roberts officiating.
