Dear Sonya, Hunter and Family,
Just a note to let you know that we are still missing Buddy, too. On a snowy day like today, Buddy would often swipe the heavy snow from the end of the driveway - one of the many kindnesses he extended to so many people. One of the many things we will always remember and miss about him.

Dear Jen, everyone can tell you that it gets easier with time, well that is somewhat true, but each of us mourne in different ways, all the familiar sounds of summer will bring back so many memories of Bud and will do so for a long time, certain songs, little things he used to say or do,so many things remind us of the brothers and sisters we lost, his time on earth ended way too soon and is still a shock to everyone, but Jen please remember you are not alone. Treasure every one of those memories you have of Bud because they are yours, the happiness you shared with Bud will get you through the most difficult times of all. If you need to talk to anyone please don't hesitate to write to me, sometimes just talking to someone who's not so close can help tremendously. I am always a phone call away or an e-mail, when your ready, I love you Jen and all the family. Julie Conlon. (207)439-0093

As the days pass everyone tells us that it will get easier to be without out Bud, but it seems like with every passing day we miss him so much more. It's summer now, and as the days pass and I hear motorcyles in the background, the sound makes me think of Bud and how much he loved to be out in the spring and summer air. It makes me miss him so much more, but it makes me happy to know that I have great memories of such a wonderful man, memories that I carry with me and will carry with me forever. I do miss him so very much. Jennie (Red)

I am Jennie's sister-in-law and I met Buddy quite a few years ago when I stayed with Jeff and Jennie when they lived in Conneticut. He alway had a smile on his face and was a very nice man. I also saw him a few years later at Jeff and Jennies house down in Florida at Christmas time of 1990. He was a wonderful uncle to our nephews Josh and Justyn so I can only imagine how great of a dad he must have been. Our thoughts are with you all the way from MN.

Sonya, Hunter and my family, I love you all very much and feel so bad for the pain that you/we are all experiencing over the loss of Bud. He was an incredible father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was an incredible person. He always made time for each and every one of us, and always made us feel like we mattered without ever needing anything in return. We all miss him very much, and today on Easter we are all missing him so much more, feeling a whole in our hearts so deep we can't think. Lets all take a minute and think of Bud and his incredible smile saying something silly, somthing to make us laugh and capture that in our hearts to carry with us now and always. Love to all Jenn "Red"

Remember Me
Remember me when flowers bloom
Early in the spring
Remember me on sunny days
In the fun that summer brings.
Remember me in the fall
As you walk through leaves of gold
And remember me in the wintertime
In teh stories that are told.
But most of all remember
Each day, right from the start
I will be forever near
For I live within your heart.

Buddy was one of the best friends I have ever had and I one of the best people I will ever know. If one of us called the other was there to answer and to help. Not a day goes by that I don't miss talking to him. I will always cherish the time that we did share. I am truly inspired by the many lives that he touched, but none more than Sonya's and Hunter's. Buddy loved them without question or hesitation and his face would light up every time he talked about them. That love made him the man that he was ...he will be missed, but never forgotten.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I'll always remember the sincerity and kindness my uncle Bud showed me whenever we spent time together. I remember when he let me drive his mustang. I was 16 and drove it well under the speed limit I was scared that I would crash the beautiful car. He laughed and told me not to be scared, that I wouldn't crash, and pushed my knee down to speed up the car. He just wanted me to have a good time, and that's what he wanted for everybody. He was so warm and loving and I am so glad and thankful to have had him in my life. I will miss him always, his big smile and even bigger heart.

Sonja,
I heard of Buddy's passing last night and wanted to send my condolences to you and Hunter.
I can still remember the first time I saw Buddy, he was sitting on his Harley in front of Cumby's talking to you. You both had incredible smiles on your faces and it was clear to me that the two of you were already very much in love.
Later I approached Buddy and asked him to sponsor a local softball team which he did without even really knowing me.
I always looked forward to coming home and stopping in to see Buddy and others who were at Hunter's for the same reason... because Buddy made everyone feel like family.
I don't think I ever payed a cover w/ Buddy working the door. "Tip my bartenders and waitresses," he'd say with a smile.
I can't imagine what you are going through, but know how strong you are. My thoughts are with hunter and you.

Sonya & Hunter, How my heart aches for you in your loss of a great guy,Buddy. Hunter, my favorite memory of you and your Dad is when I would come up to see you at Christmas with Aunt Beth. We would be sitting on the floor playing cars and games and your Dad would come up the basement stairs and thru the door and you would light up like a Christmas tree and say, "hi Dad." Then you would get up and run over and give him the biggest hug, the joy was a sight to behold! You both adored each other and it filled my heart with gladness to see you two together. Sonja, you are the worlds best Mom and it is a blessing to Hunter that you two are so close. Gina, your the best and such a blessing to your family! May God bless you all and give you peace and comfort in the days, months and years to come. Love you, Lorraine

Sonya,Hunter, Gina, family extended,
As I entered town the night of Buddy's wake, I could not believe the numbers. I wondered, "Who?"
Then, I came home to read the newspaper and was shocked at what I saw and read. Personally, I didn't know Buddy very well, but he had a warm face, a hearty smile, and always a "Hi!". He will be greatly missed.
Sonya, I watched you grow over the years. Your beaming face, and Hunter's,too, radiate the love that you shared as family. Draw strength from that love and the many memories you have. They will keep you warm and help comfort you.
My heart goes out to you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Feel free to call if you need.
You and yours have our sincerest
condolence. God Bless.

We remember Buddy as a child and young teen. He lived behind us and was the "kid in the neighborhood" who always came over when we worked in our yard just to "help". It was alot of years ago but I was standing in front of "GATORS" bar with some friends and Buddy was looking over my Harley and comented to me how much he liked it. I gave him the keys and some driving instructions and off he went- a grin from ear to ear. He never forgot that. He said it was his first ride on a Harley. He was a good hearted person. He always said hello to me and my wife. God bless you Buddy.

Sonya, Hunter, Gator & family: I moved back to Massachusetts 10 years ago, but lived in the seacoast area for many years before that. I knew Buddy from the Wally's and Old Bridge Cafe days.
He always was a good kid. He was pleasant helpful and good humored despite the ruckus of the bar.He had a good head on his shoulders and always kept his cool. I am happy to know he had a wonderful wife and beautiful son, which I know he loved much.My heart goes out to you, you have my deepest sympathy and prayers. May your memories andlove see you thru this terrible time. I believe he will be your guiding Angel, especially when you need it most. When our time to pass comes I know Buddy will be waiting with the Harley running and ready to ride!

Sonya, I found comfort in this poem, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. If you ever want a crying partner let me know, I am very good at it. God has been collecting some special Angels, HE must need them an awful lot.
My heart goes out to you and Hunter, may you find peace and comfort with each other.
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I keep trying to come up with the right words to say…I guess there really aren’t any other than I’m so sorry for your loss. I hadn’t seen Buddy since "back in the day” when he was wild & crazy kid. He obviously grew up into a wonderful man & community member but more importantly a wonderful husband and father. Sonya & Hunter, I don’t know you but I know the rest of the family and I know they’re a loving and supportive bunch & you’ll always have them by you. Please accept my deepest sympathy & I hope your wonderful memories give you some comfort. Your guardian angel will be looking down on you & keeping you both safe.
Gator & Family, there are no words to make the hurt go away and no answers to the question why. Please accept my sympathy & know you’re all in our thoughts. You must be proud of the man he had become and he obviously left quite a legacy for such a young man.
Take Care

We never actually met Buddy, but I know that he was very kind and thoughtful to my parents when they were alive. I remember how they would rave how wonderful he was. Dear Sonya and Hunter, I didn't have the privelege of meeting you last night at Buddy's wake, I would like to express my sincere sadness to you and your family for the loss of Buddy. I knew Buddy as a young man growing up in Kittery, I always knew he would grow up to be a Gentleman. He had a rare quality about him that set him aside from the rest. I lost my sister two years ago, she and Buddy were great friends in school, and I can only tell you that though you can never forget all the times shared, good and bad, the best of memories will live on forever in your heart! You have a hard road to follow now, but from what I have heard about you and your son and the love that you and Buddy shared, you will be alright! Buddy was dearly loved by all who knew him as a child and a man, and that memory will guide you through! My deepest condolences to you. Julie Conlon
To Gator,Geri,Beth,Ricky,Kim and Jennifer, I am sorry I din't make it to the service today, I was up most of the night sick and slept most of the day. I can't even begin to tell you how sorry I am about losing Buddy. I am in shock over this, as I'm certain you all are as well, Im so sorry. The only thing that helps me with the loss of Andy is the thought that God must have something for her in Heavin to do,and maybe that is why he took our Buddy away from us. I can only hope that the days ahead will be of less pain and sorrow, it never goes away, but it does get a little easier with time. A certain Smile, a certain song, a favorite memory, will pull you through.Gator and Geri, your loss is one that every parent should never have to experience, so please cherish every moment with the kids and grandchildren for they are your legacy, your heart and your spirit. I love you guys with all my heart, and I'm so sorry that Buddy's passing is what brought us back together again. You guys are my extended family. Please keep in touch with me, if I can help in anyway, even just to talk, give me a call or write to me, Lets get together before you head back to Florida. Love you always and forever---Julie

I am so sad to hear of Buddy's passing. My best wishes and prayers go out to his entire family. I met Buddy 20 plus years ago when he visited regularly with neighbors at our camp in Acton,Maine. He helped teach me to waterski and took me tubing all the time with his beloved boat. I was 10 years old, and he took the time to know me and make me feel important. I am an only child and feeling like I had a cool big brother was such a gift to a lonely little kid. What a generous and thoughtful human being. I wish I could have thanked him, he never knew what an impact he made in my life.God Bless You Buddy.Say " Hi" to my grandpa for me, he loved you too...

They say you can tell a persons heart by the number of peoples lives they have touched here is proof...look at all these people that knew Buddy knew his family...knew that his life was his son and his wife...what an amazing man made his lifes work making other people happy...always making sure everyone had a good time...most of us...our lives can be summed up in the book "The Death of a Salesman" working our tails off saving for "someday"not Buddy...he knew how to balance it all...to say he will be missed is an understatment...but if we need to see him all we have to do is look into the eyes of the little boy he loved so much...thats where he is...he is the hearts of the people he loved..."to be absent of the the body is to be one with the Lord" Buddy is in an amazing place...but it would be nice if he was still here...God Bless you Sonya and Hunter and thanks for the car Buddy lol still is running good! Sorry we couldnt be there...we'll come by and see you soon Love Kathy Tim and the Girls

To Sonya, Hunter, and the Stiles Family;
I don't even know where to begin, my friendship with Buddy goes back so many years. As we got older, we didn't see each other all that much, but I want to offer my condolences to you. Buddy was a great guy, and he had a wicked sense of humor. If there's anything you need at all, please let me know. It's the least that I can do.

To the entire Stiles Family,
We are shocked and saddened at the sudden loss of Buddy. Through the years we have known him, he always had that big smile on his face. He was so good to and so supportive of this community. Buddy always believed in doing business in town and when we owned the flower shop he did just that. He was our customer as we were his.
He was so proud of his family, Sonya & Hunter....You could always see the love he had for you in every conversation about you both. Buddy was a good, fair, trustworthy and an honest man who will be surely missed by all who knew him.
We feel very lucky to have known him and to be able to call him our friend.
May your memories and the love you all shared help get you through these difficult times now.
Always keep him alive in your hearts....Do as Buddy did...Live life like theres no tomorrow
Our thoughts and prayers are with you now.
