Doris Y. Cunha

Doris Y. (Desmarais) Cunha, age 83, of Rolling Green Dr., Fall River, MA, passed away August 30, 2013 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Wife of the late Alfred Cunha. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Edward Desmarais and the late Malvina (Cardinal) Desmarais. Mrs. Cunha was a lifelong resident of Fall River. She was employed by the former Beacon for 25 years as a presser until her retirement. She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. She is survived by one son, Marc Cunha and daughter in-law, Margaret Cunha, of Fall River, MA; one granddaughter, Makayla Gannon Cunha of Fall River, a god daughter Judith Como of Fall River, a god son Paul Desmarais of Ct, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Edward Desmarais, Jr. A Memorial service will be celebrated on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 7:00PM in BOULE FUNERAL HOME, 615 Broadway, Fall River, MA.. Visitation will be 5:00PM to 7:00PM.
