John Ellzey Obituary
1937-2014
John Adam Ellzey, II, longtime Heights resident, born December 13, 1937, passed peacefully away November 28, 2014 with his daughter by his side.
He was predeceased by his wife, Inez Cruzat Ellzey. He is survived by his only child, Heloise Annette Ellzey and his sister-in-law, Sr. Heloise Cruzat.
John was a Special Education Teacher and Braille Specialist, spending most of his career with HISD. He was a devout Catholic and was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. He was an avid supporter of the arts and many other causes.
Special thanks to Rochelle Barnes for the compassionate care she provided over the past two years.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 10:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church, 215 East 10th Street, Houston, Texas 77008. The family will receive friends in the Church narthex one hour prior to Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The Lighthouse of Houston, 3602 West Dallas, Houston, Texas 77019 www.houstonlighthouse.org/donate.

I knew John & Inez through the apple computer club in Houston. I'm saddened by my friends passing.I have many fond memories of good times with the Ellzey's. My prayers & condolences to family and friends.
Also to Eloise please know that your Mom & Dad loved you and that will always be with you. I appreciated how you were with him and helped him the last couple years. God Bless.
