Dear Lyle was my first love. He always held a special place in my heart...obviously, since years later in 2020 I did a google search to see what happened to him and learned he had died. I read everyone's comments about Lyle. He was a good kind hearted person. We had so much in common, but it didn't work out due to our young ages. It makes me happy to know he had so many friends in life. I am sorry he died at such a young age. I will always treasure my memories of Lyle, especially our motorcycle days, the Jackson County fair, and mostly our times spent together after my afternoon work shift. My deepest sympathy, although late, to Lyle's family and good friends. Sandy Peterson Gayk

Lyle was My Best Man and I was his. We traveled to California, then Florida years later. He was my friend and I loved him like a brother. We hunted, partied, got married, worked, & enjoyed lots of enthusiastic 'conversations'. Our points of veiw was sometimes 180 degrees apart, but passionate he was to make his point, and so was I, which made for some loud & lively moments.
My dear friend is gone but his memories are ever strong, and thats what I will take forward.

The Lightners were our neighbors in Leoni for years. I have found childhood memories of each of them. Lyle always had a gleam in his eye and a smile for everyone he met. Prayers go out to Dan, Joyce, and Jim. Sorry I can't be there for the mass.

No matter where our paths would lead us, no matter how far the distance or how much time had past, when we would met each other again, Lyle would greet me with a big smile and a warm handshake. Lyle has been a friend to both side of my family (Caler & Wyer) since I can remember. Lyle will truly be missed.

So sorry to hear of Lyle's passing. He was a good neighbor and friend. Enjoyed his music and playing the theme from "Rawhide" loud enough so we could all enjoy it. We shared many good memories.
