As a high school student in The Netherlands I will never forget seeing Rezk Mohamed descend on his parachute in Hilversum.
He had just bailed out of his crippled F-100 after aiming it toward the Zuiderzee to avoid densely populated parts of North Holland. Alas, several people died on the ground in Bussum. I remain convinced that the courageous action of Rezk saved a a large number of lives.
My very belated condolences to his family and many friends

Rest in peace my friend. I am sorry to hear of his passing and I extend my belated condolences to the family. [I just saw this 16MAY2013.] I enjoyed flying with MO on Civil Air Patrol Search and Rescue [CAP- SAR] missions here in Idaho. I loved his stories of "low level ordinance delivery" operations in Vietnam (eg: skipping bombs under tunnels and into caves.) Once during a training mission he was able to report the mile marker and number of reflector posts to a target on the interstate. Numerous people owe their lives to MO and his flying skills that he volunteered with CAP SAR missions. I enjoyed working and flying with MO a lot. He was a good friend and the best of pilots. My brother Sonny, we knew you as Sonny, the big brother we were so proud of, reading letters from you to Dad outloud, hearing of your missions, your experiences, and laughing at your humor. The years have separated us, but the love, the pride, the memories we have of you will live on forever....Rick, we extend our most deepest sympathy and shock of the loss of this "larger than life" man.....I only hope that the memories you have in your heart will carry you through this difficult time........I only wish I were there to say good-bye...but in my heart, my soul, my memories, he will always be alive.........Aunt Bonnie (nee Mohamed) Bonita Zachia Rose

I had the pleasure of having Mo as one of my friends and squadron mates during our days flying the F-105 with the 12th Tactical Fighter Squadron. He was not only one of the most unique persons I have ever known, but more importantly, he was my friend. I mourn his passing and I shall miss him.

I knew Mo when I was working at EG&G, Idaho. It was a joy and honor to work with him. It was years later that I learned he was a fellow Vet. Mo, we will never forget you. You are a credit to your family and your Nation. God Bless.

My offer my sincere condolences to the family and survivors of Col. "Mo"
I first met him at Nellis AFB in about 1970 and remember him crusing around base in a small convertible sport car.
Later I worked for him when he hired me at Reynolds Electrical & Engineering Co. (EG&G). We were more like co-workers and friends than supervisor/employee.
I also met his sons, who were young boys at the time, and house-sat a couple of times.
Later, my wife and I attended his wedding with Doe.
When he left REECo to work in Idaho in 1979, that was the last time I saw him.
He contributed much to my career growth.
Thank you Mo and Rest in Peace.
To his family: I wish you well during this challenging time.

My father, Bill Schimek, always spoke very highly of his Uncle Rezk, and although I did not have the opportunity to meet him, I will always remember the stories my father told me, and how proud he was to be his nephew.
I believe my father and his Uncle are soaring, somewhere. It was a passion they shared...flight.

Anyone that had the opportunity to meet or know Mo should feel honored. He was truly a distinguished gentleman and will be missed by many. I personally will miss his silly animal noises he used to make. Mo, my parents looked up to you & cherished their time they had with you. A true class act! This country should be proud to have had someone like him serve for us, just as I am proud to have had him in our family.

A message from Col. Mo's son, Rezk Mohamed III
As an appropriate and final tribute to my father, I am trying to get a flyover of the services approved. If anyone has some "pull" at Langley AFB, or could assist in expediting the approval process for this, your help would be greatly appreciated.
Fighter pilots that knew, or had the honor of flying with Col. Mo are cordially invited to participate by volunteering to join the flyover team.

To a fine gentleman and fighter pilot. Thanks for the encouragement you gave to me and many other fighter pilots at Nellis while you were the editor of the Fighter Weapons Review at the Weapons Center. It was an honor to know and work with you. We miss you.
