Herbert M. Breitfeld Jr.

Breitfeld, Jr., Herbert M.Herbert M. Breitfeld, Jr., 67 years, of West Catasauqua, died Friday June 26th, 2015 at Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown. He was the husband of Dolores M. (Brezina) Breitfeld and would have celebrated 49 years of marriage this August. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Herbert M. Sr. and Mildred P. (Kratzer) Breitfeld. Herbert was a co-owner of Milson's Notary in Whitehall. He worked for many years as an electronics technician for First Energy, formerly Met-Ed, before retiring. Prior to that he also worked for Western Union. Herbert taught Residential Wiring at Lehigh Carbon Community College. For many years Herbert served as a volunteer fireman for the West Catasauqua Fire Dept. He was a lifetime member of the West Catasauqua Fire Co., Fullerton Fire Co. and the Coplay Saengerbund. During his late teens and twenties he played guitar in the band The Shadows who were together for 13 years. Survivors: Surviving along with his wife Dolores, are his son Jeffrey M. Breitfeld, Sr. and wife Lainie; daughter Denise Breitfeld; grandsons Jeffrey M. Jr. and Andrew T. Breitfeld, and Logan Wallander; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson Jonathan T. Breitfeld. Services: Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday, July 1st, 2015 at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, 18032. His viewing will be from 10-11am Wednesday at the funeral home.
