Albino FERLAINO Obituary
The time has come the Walrus said…
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Albino Ferlaino in his backyard oasis on July 2, 2014 at the age of 62. Beloved husband of Rosa Matteo; devoted father of Cynthia (Jay), Joseph (Georgia) and Melissa; loving Nonno of Ben, Maria, Luke and Bosco. He will be sadly missed by his dear brothers Frank (Elizabeth) and Natale (Maria); his brother-in-law Luigi (Antonella); his dear sister-in-law Loretta (Tony), his nieces and nephews Angie (David), Jaime (Kevin), Lisa, Davide (Véronique), Daniel, Justin and Luca. His laughter will also be missed by all of his cousins, family and friends. Visitation will be held at Yves Légaré on Friday, July 4, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. Funeral will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 1 p.m. at St. Edmund of Canterbury's Parish, 105 Beaconsfield Boulevard, H9W 3Z8. Thence to Rideau Memorial Gardens, 4239 Sources Boulevard, Dollars-des-Ormeaux. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jewish General Hospital, to the Albino Ferlaino Foundation at www.jghfoundation.org/sections/ givingtribute.html.

Sincere condolences to the family, i know how it's hard to loose someone but These kind of thing makes us become stronger. I've never know him but i'm sure he was an exeptionnal person.

Dear Al,
The years have gone far too quickly from those early days when you sat in front of me in French class in High School and then at Dawson College when I introduced you to my dear friend, Rosa. You were smitten from the start, even though you loved to say "It's all your fault Gina!" You gave her 41 wonderful years, 3 beautiful children, 3 adorable grandchildren, and a lifetime of great memories.
Dan and I want to thank you, Rosa and your family for allowing us to share in some of them. From our early camping outings with the kids, weekends in Lake Placid, our trip to Grand Cayman (where we sit in the hot tub to stay warm) to our quick stop over in Tuscany and our many visits to Florida and Montreal. So many memories we will hold onto and cherish.
To Rosa, my dearest friend, we have been through so much together. Your strength, courage and faith always inspires and gives me hope. Our prayers and thoughts are with you, Joseph, Cindy and Melissa and all of your family.
We love you Al and we will miss you very much.

Deepest condolences Joseph and family for your loss. From the few times I had the pleasure of spending time with your father, he struck me as a man who loved life and lived it fully. Social, loving and fun. I'm sure he will be missed by not only your family but all of his friends. Rest in peace.

MEMORIES OF Al Ferlaino
I will never forget our times in Toronto on our on the job training with Revenue Canada in 1976.
The best time was when Al &Tom Barnett duped me in the card game.....they had a great laugh at my expense always guessing my cards ...until I finally noticed the mirror behind me.
Soft ball games and the many social gatherings with friends and families in Ottawa were great fun.
The time we went out for a steak dinner - Al asked for his steak scorched and the waiter brought him a rare steak much to Al's dismay as he expected a well done steak.
AL & I taking turns playing class clown at CCD in Ottawa. Especially when it came to tormenting the gals - Nancy Chow & Ina. You could not leave without sharing a meal and revisiting stories of the past. Our most memorable visit was at their Florida home. When we complimented and thanked them on their hospitality and the wonderful meal prepared by Rosa. Al's response to that was "Again I want to thank you very much for coming." Which he repeated several times throughout the day.
We are so thankful to have those memories and to have shared meals with you.
We hoped someday to visit Italy with Al as our guide. If we ever get to make that trip you will be with us in spirit Al. And for sure we will have some pasta in your honor.
