WWI Private 34198 of the NZEF, Canterbury Regiment, 3rd Battalion.
In loving memory of "Our Dick" who died of wounds October 2nd, 1917.
Buried in Lijssenthoek Cemetery, Belgium.

He marched away so bravely,
His young head proudly held.
His footsteps never faltered,
His courage never failed.
And on the field of battle he calmly took his place,
He fought and died for England, home and duty,

To the fallen thank you for giving your tomorrow so I can have today....So many brave men and women who gave their lives for my freedom.

For our soldiers whom died overseas or at home from their injuries I thank you ..for our remaining ww2 soldiers left today on the 100th Anzac day in NZ and Australia I thank you
