Died: April 15, 2015; in Woodstock, IL

Clarence P. Stackhouse, born on December 30, 1926, to Ralph and Clara Stackhouse, in Geneva, Iowa, and died at home on April 15, 2015, at the age of 88, surrounded by his family and friends.

He moved to McHenry County, Illinois,in the 1940's, and married Joyce E. White, at the home of her parents, on December 30, 1947. He farmed in rural Woodstock all his life. He also worked as a custodian at Marengo High School for over 20 years.

He is survived by Joyce, his wife of 67 years; and children, Jane (Ray) Kastning, Richard (Joyce) Stackhouse and Steven (Linda) Stackhouse. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael Kastning, Lori (Mike) Miles, Richard (Jessica) Stackhouse, Jr., Jennifer (Scott) Wolf, Kristina (Willie) Seager, Scott (Shawn) Lehman, Keith (Lisa) Lehman, Michelle (Steve) Polizzi and 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Roy D. (Betty)Stackhouse Sr.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 19, 2015, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., at the Schneider Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 20, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow the service.
