Oh Candy, what are we going to do without you? I remember laughing til tears came out of my eyes with you, over the silliest things, and it's so hard to believe that I'll never get to hear you laughing again except in my memories.
I'm so glad to have met you. I only wish I could have had the gift of having known you longer.

Rich: You and Candy have been an incredible friend to me (and to Colleen) for so many years; in good times, bad times, and on many occasions. My heart goes out to you in your time of grief. Please know that I'm only an email away if you need anything.

Rich, Danny, Sarah,
Tom called me and told me about Candy. I'm so terribly sorry for all of you. Even though I haven't seen all of you for some time, the memories I have of all of us together when the kids were small are very happy ones. Candy had so much love for everything, especially her family. I'll be keeping you in my prayers Rich, We never get over things like this, but we get through it with God's help. My heart is with you Rich.
Love,
Rose Hartley

We send our warmest condolences to the Hetrick family. We became friends with Dan and Tonja and Nathan while they worked for the State Dept in Hong Kong. They were active members of Island Baptist Church of which we pastor. Our hearts are rejoicing that Candy is with our Saviour and enjoying the glories of heaven, but our hearts are saddened for the family in their loss. We pray that the God of all comfort will strengthen you all.

My Dear Rich,
I am so positively sorry. After all your time together your heart must be breaking. I will keep you and your family in my prayers and keep in touch. There are things I want to share but now is not the time. I hope your children will be the comfort you need. If you need a friend, I have always been one. I'm as close as the phone or E-mail.
My heart reaches out to comfort you at this acute time in your life.

Hello Richard - I'm Merry Anne's friend, Lynda from Erie. Although I haven't seen Candy in quite a few years, she had been in my thoughts through Merry Anne. I am so glad their relationship came to be as it was these last years and know how much Merry Anne loves you and your family. My sincere sympathies in your loss.
