Gerald Ryan Obituary

WATERTOWN- Gerald Francis Ryan, 77, of Watertown, passed away at his home on Sunday August 3, 2025.
Gerald was born June 1, 1948, in Waterbury to the late Frank J. and Josephine (Donnery) Ryan. He graduated in 1966 from Watertown High School and attended the University of Connecticut. Gerald worked as an electrician for Connecticut Light and Power for 35 years and also worked as an electrical contractor for Leo J. Greenwood and George Sloss. He was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Watertown and a member of the Watertown Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Waterbury Elks Lodge No. 265 since 1973. Gerald enjoyed deep sea fishing, traveling, photography and history.
Gerald is survived by his sister Peggy Moulton and her husband Craig; his brother John Ryan; and his four nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 574 Main St., Watertown. Entombment in the mausoleum at Mount Olivet Cemetery on Platt Rd. in Watertown will immediately follow mass. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hickcox Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Gerald requested that memorial contributions be made in memory of his father, SSG Frank J. Ryan, to Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org.
