Lawrence J. Searles, age 80, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully August 3, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Judith (Ross) Searles.
Larry was born September 14, 1944 in Biddeford, Maine, a son of the late Arnold E. and Pearl L (Cormier) Searles. He was a graduate of Kaynor Technical School. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a licensed career electrician, retiring from Heritage Village. He was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed camping, bird watching, gardening, woodworking, and spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his wife of 58 years, he leaves his daughters Debra A. Searles of Waterbury, Wendy L. Feliciano (Billy) of Waterbury, a brother Vernall A. Searles of Bethlehem, four grandchildren Amber Lowe (Michael), Alyssa Feliciano (Kayden), Sydney Dawson (Christopher) and Cameron Feliciano (Annie) as well as a great-granddaughter Maicy-Elisabeth Joyner. He also leaves his bonus grandchildren Jayda and Michael Graham Jr. and Kobee and Karmelo Young. He was predeceased by his brothers Kenneth H. and Arnold R. Searles and his sister Sandra L. Derouin.
Arrangements: Calling hours for Larry will be held on Saturday, August 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway. Military honors will be bestowed immediately following calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of his family.
