Bobbie Methvin Harris Branch

SHREVEPORT, LA- Bobbie Methvin Harris Branch, 80, went to be with Jesus April 9, 2014. Visiting hours are from 5pm-7pm April 10, 2014 at Rose-Neath Southside in Shreveport. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 11, 2014 at 10 am at Rose-Neath Southside and the burial will follow at 12:15 pm at Social Springs Cemetery, Ringgold, La. Dr. Murry Hodge will be officiating the ceremony.

Bobbie was born April 7, 1934 in Martin, La. She would later move to Shreveport and begin her career at BellSouth where she would retire after 32 years of service. Bobbie was a leader and stayed active with the various organizations she belonged to. These included: Daughters of the American Revolution, Christian Women, Belle's Bakers Dozen, "Out to Lunch Bunch," and Red Hatters. She loved spending time with her Church friends at Bellaire Baptist and Summer Grove Baptist, gardening with "Sippi", traveling the world, and daily Bible reading. Bobbie was a loving Mother and happiest when she was with her Children and Grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Q Lee Methvin; husband J.D. Harris; sister, Tru Rawls and three brothers, Melvin, W.T. and Luther Wayne. She is survived by her husband Mississippi "Sippi" Branch, Children: Dennis Harris, Karen and husband Kelly Outram. Brothers: Charles and wife, Sylvia; George and wife, Angie, Brother-in-law, Bobby Rawls. Grandchildren: Jared, Kelsey, and Grant Outram; Sage and Savana Harris.

Bobbie was one of a kind with a Love for Life, Family, and Friends. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
