SOUTH BEND - Delores J. Lee (Dee Pops), 80, of South Bend, Indiana passed away in her home on Thursday, February 16, 2017.

She was born on May 19, 1936 to Georgiana and Harold Snelling. After graduating from Central High School she married Joseph Lee Jr., who preceded her in death. She was a life-long resident and was employed all of her life in South Bend.

Delores is survived by three sons, Michael (Dorothy) Lee Sr., Ricky and Jerome Lee, South Bend, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Michael Lee Jr., Marcus Lee, Alysha Lee, and Amarion Lee, all of South Bend, Indiana, Ricky Lee Jr., and Rachel Lee, of Renton, Washington, Cortey (Hannah) Lee of Mishawaka, Indiana, Shaunte Lee of Goshen, Indiana, and Jevon Anderson of Statesville, North Carolina; a special son and stepson, David (Annette) Warnsley Sr., of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Charles Ferrel Sr., of Indianapolis, Indiana, Glen (Duchie) Brown of Windermere, Florida; a special daughter-in-law, Sandra Lee of Renton, Washington; stepdaughter and caregiver, Gerri Anderson of South Bend, Indiana; four great-grandchildren, Marcus Lee Jr., of Grand Prairie, Texas, Noel Lee of Mishawaka, Indiana, London Lee of Renton, Washington, Vontae Thomas and Lamar Moore Jr., of Goshen, Indiana; four god-children, David Warnsley Jr., and Starr Warnsley of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Michael Rhodes III and Taryn Franklin of South Bend, Indiana; two sisters, Denise Sims of Kansas City, and Barbara Robinson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; a brother, Joseph (Billie) Wesley of South Bend, Indiana; special niece, Vanessa Umble of Chicago, Illinois; and nephew, Terry Snelling of Bunker Hill, Indiana, along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a son, Anthony R. Lee; mother, Georgiana (Harold) Snelling; sisters, Shirley Umble, and Betty Phillips; a brother, Horace (Sonny) Fields; and a nephew, Lawrence Mays.

A Memorial Service for Delores J. Lee will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Alford's Mortuary.
