On January 23, 1943 in South Bend, as Helen Kobek, she was united in marriage to Dr. Joseph A. Toth. Together, they enjoyed 64 years of marriage until his passing on October 4, 2007. She was also preceded by a son, Joseph Michael Toth on October 19, 2006, a granddaughter, Kathleen Syson, along with seven sisters and brothers.

I must say, Mrs. Toth certainly led a full life. Having not seen her for about 50 years I was unaware of all of her accomplishments. I'm sorry that I missed out. I'll never forget going to the Toths' house after school; a classic example of organized chaos!

Sincere condolences,

Mike (Pill-a-sits) Pilsitz

Helen was such a sweet woman and always so caring for every person she met. I would only see her at the gym, but each time she saw me she always brought joy to my day.

Helen never needed the school principal to help manage her classroom. She knew how to deal with anything that came her way. She was a legendary teacher. It was pleasurable to enjoy her company more recently at Health and Lifestyle and to reflect on her legacy. A long life well lived. Deep condolensces to the Toth family.

We were saddened to hear of Aunt Helen's passing. I have fond memories of visits at the lake and at home in South Bend. Always warm and welcoming is what I'll remember. We will be unable to join you In person but know the entire Toth family has been and will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

I only met Helen a couple years ago at the healthclub, but we were blessed with her presence outside of there at a few lunches. We had some REALLY good times in just the short time we had together! Helen loved to laugh, and that is exactly how I will remember her. I called her a couple of weeks ago to check up on her. During that call, I said ALL the things one 'wishes they had a chance to say' to a loved one before they leave... I'm happy & thankful that I did that. Prayers & condolences to her family who, I'm sure, won't ever be the same without her. God Bless them all. Fly high Helen.
