Frances Anne Tolar

1950 - 2015

Frances Anne Tolar, 64, of Hixson, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 1, 2015.

She was born on September 7, 1950 in Columbia, MS to the late Thomas Ray Tolar, Sr. and Frances Love Tillery Tolar. Anne graduated from Aberdeen High School, received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of West Florida and her Master's Degree from Mississippi State University.

During her life she had lived in Pensacola, FL, Bristol, TN / VA, Mobile, AL, Louisville, MS and Chattanooga, TN. She worked at several radio stations and finished her working career as the Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the School of Business at Mississippi State University.

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Ray Tolar, Jr. and Nancy Hall Tolar; her niece and family, Stephanie and Shannon Benson, and their daughter, Elise; her nephew, Adam and Marla Tolar and their children, Ethan and Emily.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Sunday, June 14, followed by a memorial service at 4 PM in the funeral home chapel.
