Harold Koelling Obituary

Dr. Harold Alfred Koelling, 82, passed away on February 4, 2015 while taking his last cruise in the Western Caribbean. He was born on December 16, 1932 in St. Louis Missouri.
He was a professor of Chemical Engineering at Mississippi State University for 33 years.
He leaves behind a wife, Jeanette of Starkville. He also has four children: Ken, David, Kim and Daniel; three grandchildren: Brittany, Erica and Nicole; daughter-in-law Jean; and mother-in-law Delores Abbott. He also had two brothers: Jerry and Ray.
A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church on at 4 p.m. on February 12.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude's Children Hospital or the First United Methodist Church of Starkville.

As I think back over the years, there are a few teachers that stand out for both what they taught and how they did it. Not just the classroom facts and figures, but about life and transitioning into the real world. Dr. Koelling was one of those. My deepest sympathies to the family.
