Mike,
My cousin and big "brother", I will miss you! From using card tables in our childhoods as forts to discussing world issues over coffee at the university, you travelled through valleys to rise to the mountain top with the wonderful work you did for our community and, then, for the world. That we should all be blessed with the passion you had for your life's work!
Peace to you, wherever you are!

I will miss my friend of 50 years, our occasional chats about significant and insignificant topics, his warmth, his dedication to a cause he passionately believed in and worked to influence on a worldwide basis. May his efforts reverberate beyond his time. Fare thee well.

Oh, how well I remember Mike Roan, that awesome high school student who lived one block north of my house when we were children--right across the street from the Higgins household. He was three years older than I, but I remember him as a football and hockey player--if I'm not mistaken. He broke his leg playing sports his junior or senior year. While I didn't see him after graduating from high school, he left me with wonderful memories after all these years.

Michael, my best friend since 3rd. grade - I miss your voice, passion and dedication to your life's work. We share wonderful memories of two kids exploring their world.
Once we reconnected in the early 80's you have been a very special friend. My wife Junette, whom you helped me find, her family and my cousin all miss your presence.
The world is a better place due to your tireless work. I pray that another special person will pick up your lead and carry on.
