Fourteen years ago, we said goodbye to our dad as he received his complete healing. I miss him and mom so much. Dad was someone you could count on. In the morning, when I was going to work, my car had already been rinsed because he would say that the dew would cause rust because it contained salt from the ocean. I've never checked that, but I trusted him. As a result, my car was always clean because he not only rinsed it, he also dried it. He did all those little extras, that many people don't think about. He also was very smart in making up clean jokes, so he always had us laughing. Miss you, Dad.

Since 2011, and I still miss you. It's harder now that Mom is gone because now i miss both. But I know that you are rejoicing together.

He was 9 years old and lived in Hidalgo County, Texas, with his father, mother, 6 brothers and 2 sisters. The Cavazos family live on both sides of the US-Mexico border. Many Cavazos families are from the Mexican state of Nuevo León. A brother of Fortunato, Noé Cavazos, passed away this year, at the age of 89, on October 10, 2022.

It's been 11 years, Dad, but I still miss you. It would be so awesome to have you there making Mom laugh. That would help her a lot because laughter is good medicine. Love you, Dad.
