I just found out about Gerry's passing. We went to MTU together and I have so many wonderful memories of those years. He had the kindest heart and always a warm smile. He will definitely be missed by many from those amazing years as well as the many lives he touched since then. We were all blessed to have him in our lives. xxx

Gerry was a true fried to everyone he met. I have many fond memories from MTU days spending time with Gerry at the Dog House telling stories, and participating in various bocce club activities. In later years we often traded stories about the success and heartbreaks of Lions and Tigers seasons.

This is very sad news about our friend Gerry Blahut. What a pleasure it was to know Blah. Big time Detroit fan - Tigers, Red Wings, even Lions! Blah attended our wedding in June 1981. His story about driving home from the wedding is still one of my favorites.
Blah, we will miss you and we will never forget you.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Gerry and I went to MTU together. He was a fun loving great guy and he will truly be missed. We had reconnected a couple years ago via FB and had messaged back and forth about my niece and his nephew being at Tech at that time. I feel honored to have been a part of his life and so thankful that we had the opportunity to catch up a little on our lives after Tech. Love you, Blah!!!!!
