On Friday, March 6, 2015, of Rockville, MD. Beloved wife of John Catsouras; mother of Effie Suggs, Thomas Athanason and James Athanason; sister of Denise Cokas. Also survived by other loving family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, 7701 Bradley Boulevard, Bethesda, MD, Wednesday, March 11, 2015, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Helene was a very loving teacher and friend. We are so sorry to hear of her passing. I taught next to her for many years at Grace Episcopal Day School. She was the perfect kindergarten teacher - kind, loving and encouraging to students and teachers. Hugs and prayers for John and family. I hope to stop but I babysit my 3mo. old grandson.

It is never easy to lose a loved one, I pray you find comfort in God's promise found at John 6:40 which says that soon we will see all our loved ones again. My deepest condolences to the Catsouras family.

I was deeply saddened by the news that my dear colleague and longtime friend, Helene had passed. So many fond memories from our past experiences at the Rev. Thomas Daniels School and the great training she shared with so many of our children. Rest in Peace Helene and please know you are never forgotten. Much strength and prayers to her entire family at this very difficult time.
