On Wednesday, March 19, 2014, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late Michael J. Connolly; mother of Michael (Shelly) Connolly, Maureen (Greg) Walcavich, John Kevin Connolly, Sheila (Richard) Kostiuk, Tom Connolly, Mary Eileen (David) Tonelson and Pat (Heidi) Connolly; grandmother of Mike, Kevin, Meghan, Sarah, Jennifer, Katie, Matthew, Samantha, Elise, Stephen, and Casey; great grandmother of Rylan, Amelia and Clara. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Monday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 25, at the Church of the Resurrection at Riderwood Village, 3110 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, from 10 to 11 a.m.; where the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Mary,
You always made my sisters and I feel like part of the family. Your example thought me how to be welcoming with my own step kids. Thank you for that graceful lesson even though I'm sure it was just you being you.
