Whitey was one of the most "stand up guys" I have ever known. He was always a positive presence whenever I was with him. I am grateful that I was in town when I heard the dreadful news and was able to attend his wake to pay my respect, celebrate his life, and share fond memories with our mutual friends. There was a lot of love in the room that evening and it went a long way to ease the pain of our loss.

Robbie was always there to help whenever help was needed. With a smile and a joke! A true friend.

I will miss, when I next come home, not having Rob there. Rob was a friend, a comfort, a partner in mischievous laughter. I will miss the mighty oak. Peace to you Tamara and to Rob's entire world.

Tamara I too was shocked. As a former neighbor at Caney Place I remember Robbie showing up at our door with fresh flounder he had caught that day. So sad I won't see him driving by in his white van and waving or stopping to chat. My heart goes out to you.

August 3, 2017

John, Jackie, and I are shocked and deeply sad about Rob's death. Tamara and Rob were the best next-door neighbors and friends that we could ever have hoped for during the 20 years that we lived on Caney Place. We love you Tamara!

All of us here at the town office in Garrett Park are shocked and sad to hear of Whitey's sudden passing. We have always enjoyed his visits, spirit of good cheer, and his skill and expertise as our electrician. We are so sorry for his too early leaving.
