I am so sorry to hear of Mamaw's passing. She was always the bright spot on Monday nights; even when she was taking my money! I wish I could have been with ya'll the last few games. A very fitting send-off for a great lady and friend. You are all in my prayers and hope to see you soon.

Words can not express how fortunate our family was to have Dorothy Hambrick as our next door neighbor. When we moved into our house in 1973, Mrs. Hambrick was quick to welcome us into the neighborhood and our friendship continued to grow throughout the years. She was wonderful to my children and grandson. It saddens me to think that I won't see her again, as she waved when she drove to and from her errands in her white van. We simply took for granted that she would always be "home". When our hearts are empty, happy memories will help us find a smile and her smile will never be forgotten. Thank you Mrs. Hambrick for everything you did for our family. Thank you to the Hambrick family for sharing your beautiful mother with us. May God help to ease your sorrow during this difficult time.

We are deeply greived by the loss of Dot and are so sorry that we were unable to travel to celebrate in her life and to say good-bye. We will miss the Hambrick Hilton and the Jeff Davis Lunch Bunch will never be the same. Dot has been such a major part of our lives for the past 60+ years, it will be hard not to pick up the phone for a chat and to catch up on the Houston news. We greive with you and love you. You are always in our hearts.

I only knew Dorothy for a short time. Met her at the Davis lunch bunch enjoyed her company very much. She was a very happy person always taking pictures of our group.She will be missed by all.

Little sad and a lot happy- Happy that is, to have had so much fun, knowing and being with Dorthy. Any time you saw her, it's a smile and good thought. She could keep an army in line, with a smile. Judy and family,
I also grew up on Caplin St. Your Mother was so friendly, sweet & the life of the party. My Mother, Rosalee Storenski, and your Mother were neighbors. Sad to say my Mother is in hospice at Park Manor. It is a very sad experience but we know they will be happier with God their creator. My Mother & I always enjoyed Dorothy's Christmas pictures. We know she had a good and happy life.

Dorothy was a very special lady...we both have many fond memories of her from growing up in Lindale and again in recent years at the monthly Jeff Davis Alumni luncheons...she always greeted you with that wonderful smile of hers...she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Our sympathy and prayers go out to your family. I will always remember summer at the Hambrick's swimming pool. Dorothy always welcomed everyone to her home. She was a wonderful and kind person and will truly be missed.

John and The Hambrick Family,
Dorothy was a real friend and true inspiration to me. She handled everything that came to her head on and with a grace that only faith can give. She became a friend to my daughter and I when we moved into the neighborhood many years ago. She and I had so many conversations, not over coffee in one house or the other, but in the street as we were passing each other coming and going from our various activities (I think she had more going on than I did!) Dorothy loved to have a good time. She was a friend to me when I really needed one. She was a true friend, who without being asked, was there to offer support. She was a true friend, who always spoke her mind, without malice, but a gentle, thoughtful manner. She was open and giving and such a dear soul. I am so saddened by the loss of this sweet friend.

To the Hambrick Family,The first time I met Dorothy was at one of the amazing 4th of July parties. She made me feel so welcomed. When she spoke of Travis I could see how much she loved him. Danny and I are so blessed to have known such an outstanding person. Our prayers are with you all.

Judy and John,
I am truely sorry to hear that Aunt Dorthy passed on. I feel your pain, but I know that she is in a better place and looking down upon us with a smile on her face. She is in Heaven with your brother, my baby girl Ashlynn and most of all with our Lord. I know also that I will always have my wonderful memories of visiting ya'll in Houston when I was a child. I think that one of the best memories was when we all met in Galveston and went fishing and boating.

The Sanchez family will be enterally grateful for your wonderful mother and all the love she extended to us. God placed her in our lives when the widower with seven children moved into the neighborhood. I loved your mom. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. I am so glad I gave her roses two weeks ago. I will miss her smiling face at the beauty shop.

My whole family has nothing but wonderful memories of Mrs. Hambrick. My grandmother Josephine saw her as more than her landlady but also as her friend. We saw her as family. She will be truely missed. May God give you the courage and stregnth that Mrs. Hambrick had to help you in your time of need.

Dear Hambrick Family
Your mother will be missed greatly. I could always count on seeing her loving smile at 9am mass. She was a faithful servent of the Lord. My prayers to all the family. She had and will always be in my heart. She was a wonderful example of life. She would stop by after Mass and visit us in the Kitchen and offered her input with issues we had and I will always cherish those moments I spent with her. She was great neighbor as well and our family will miss her.

Dear John and Judy,
We were so sorry to hear that Aunt Dorothy had passed away. I am so glad that we were able to spend time with her in December at my mother's 80th birthday party. Marcus commented on how she made him feel like part of the family from the very first day that he met her. That is exactly how she was, always kind and generous with everyone. We will truly miss her.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Your Mother was a very special person. My Mother, Mary, enjoyed doing volunteer work with your Mother at Holy Name for many years. She spoke so highly of your Mother. They had so much fun together. They lived "life" to the fullest in those days. We truly will miss Dorothy. She has been a part of our family for a long time. There is no other like her. Even after Mama left us(Bell) we could still count on her to be there for us. I thank God that He gave us the opportunity to have known her. You have our deepest sympathy and if you need us we are here just as she has always been there for us.
