Dear Nancy & Bill:

I was so saddened to hear. I never knew Russell as well as Linda, but do feel knew him through her stories especially his sense of humor. I know that Linda watches over me everyday, and I do believe she is helping Russell get organized in his new place.

Nancy,

Tom Wright of The Establishment here. Russell and I had a great lunch to catch up on the old band days after you and I had lunch at the ROCC several years ago. It was great to see how well he had done in life. We all should do so well.

Bill And Nancy, I just heard from Bobby Binns as well about Russie Russ that is what we called him, and I too must say that he helped me out while I was living in Houston and showed me what good family and friends really are and you must say you are a true example of that. May God be with you through this loss and know that we shall all meet again someday. Christy Owens

Nancy & Bill,

My heart was broke when I read the news about Russ. Your family was so good to me during my time in Houston. I wish that I could help soften the sorrow I know you are feeling. The most promising heeling comes through prayer and you all are in my prayers today.

We were so saddened to hear about Russ. Nancy, I am not sure if you will remember me, but I met you through Russ and he wanted you and I to become friends! I worked with him off and on for quite a while. He was so special. We know he is in a better place, but I cannot imagine your pain. May God be with you.

Dear Nancy, I was looking for Russell to show up at my brother's memorial service on Friday, Jan. 13th. My brother is Ray Blackstone who passed away in December. I am so sorry to hear of the circumstances involved in Russell's death. Russell and Ray are now together again to resume their wild adventures. Russell's death occurred the same day we held Ray's memorial service (1/13/06). Ray was cremated so this service was held last Friday. What a coincidence. I was just going thru Ray's old photos and came across many of Russell and their trip they both took to Jamaica. My prayers are with the family - God Bless. Julie Blackstone-Penna

What sad news this is. Russ, thought I haven't seen you in several years, you will always have a special place in my heart. You were a blast to work with back in the real estate days. I know that Angels have come for you because you had such a big heart and a believing of spirit. Your smile will be missed by all who knew you. To Nancy and Bill: My heart goes out to you. I know how hard this is because I lost my son last October in a motorcyle accident. While we will never understand why God needs our children now, I'm certain he will expain it to us when it's our time to meet with him. You are in my prayers, always have been, always will be.
